Explorers(탐험가) are individuals who enters into the labyrinth. Their main purpose is to hunt monsters and gain magic stones along with other byproducts (e.g. essences). Though there are also plunders / pillagers who steal the harvest, lives and equipment of explorers,

DESCRIPTION[]

Thousands of years ago, living on this land became impossible due to a witch's curse, and only one stronghold, Rafdonia, was able to escape that calamity. A portal to another dimension was opened by the royal family for the citizens starving from a lack of resources. That portal came to be the Labyrinth of today and citizens adventuring in the labyrinth became explorers. [1]

Dignity of Soul[]

Achievements describe experience points in this world. Explorers can only gain experience points from each monster once, only for the first kill. Therefore, like filling out an illustration book, it is only possible to level up by defeating various monsters.[2]

Once an explorer reaches a certain number of achievements, the dignity of soul increases. To describe it, it is a sensation as if something dense enters the blood vessels and fills the body. Soul Power is the resource used to activate certain abilities and it increases based on level along with the total amount of absorbable essences.[3]

Level 1 requires 6 points; level 2, 30 points and level 3, 150.[4]

Baptism[]

Baptism is a blessing bestowed by the labyrinth for explorers who reach a certain point, for example the fifth floor. Its effects are a permanent increase in soul power, that is how the baptism is generally known. For wizards ,mana increase by a significant amount instead and priests gain divine power.[5]

Some problems faced by Explorers[]

  • Plunderers / pillagers
  • Absence of light
  • Lack of ideal sleeping conditions
  • Unhygienic conditions ( dirty bodies and beds)
  • Bad tasting meals
  • ETC

These problems face higher tier explorers more than lower tiers due to the longer period of time they spend exploring.

EXPLORERS' GUILD[]

Hierarchy[]

Each of the hundreds of branches in the city has a branch manager, and there is 13 district chiefs who oversee them. Above them is only the Guild Master. The thirteen district chiefs are, therefore, the guild's second-in-command.[6]

    • Julian Urbans, district chief's daughter[9]
  • Mr. Peta, Branch Manager [10]
  • Koldo Biermann

The investigator who interrogates Bjorn. He is around mid-30s, a highly obese man who uses a highhanded tone of speech.[11]

RANK REGISTRY[]

An explorer's rank is measured by the total amount of essence engraved on their soul.[12]
