A numbered item: an item that could only be obtained from a rift guardian. Each held a unique and special ability. In fact, except for crafting and discovery, in Dungeon and Stone, the only way to create equipment was through a numbered item. Of course, most of them were expensive regardless of the number.

Quadruple Digits[]

No. 9999: Beginner’s Luck

This is a flower-shaped talisman - type of equipment that activates by possessing it - that bounds to the first person who touches it forever and ownership can't be transferred. It increases the chance of getting essence, but only for monsters you hunted for the first time; According to Bjorn the increase in drop rate is approximately 5%.  The rate of increase is not multiplicative but simply added to a fixed value. Ex:  ·The essence of a “Guardian” in a “Rift”; goes from 33% to 38%. ·The essence of a “Normal Monster” in the “Labyrinth”; goes from 0.01% to 5.01%.[2]
